Last updated: 26 September 2026 · Version 2.0
WonderPath ("we", "us", "our") is a family learning platform operated by Clove9, whose business address is Office 128, 18 Young Street, Unit LGE, Edinburgh, EH2 4JB, Scotland, United Kingdom. This policy explains in plain language what cookies and similar technologies we use, why we use them, and the choices available to you.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to remember your preferences and to provide information to the owners of the site. Local storage and session storage serve similar purposes and are covered by this policy.
2. Cookies we use
We categorise our cookies into two groups. We do not use any advertising, behavioural tracking or third-party marketing cookies. We never serve advertisements to children.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the platform to function. They cannot be switched off because the service would not work without them. They do not store any personally identifiable information beyond what is needed for authentication.
| Cookie / storage key | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Keeps you signed in securely (Supabase authentication) | Session / 7 days | Local storage |
| cookie-consent | Remembers your cookie preference (accepted or rejected) | Persistent | Local storage |
| wp-install-dismissed | Remembers if you dismissed the app install banner | Persistent | Local storage |

Analytics cookies (optional, consent required)
These cookies are only set if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you click "Reject", no analytics cookies are placed and no analytics data is collected. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.
| Cookie / storage key | Purpose | Provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| ph_* | Privacy-friendly usage analytics (page views, feature usage). No personal data about children is collected. Used to understand how families use the platform so we can improve it. | PostHog (EU servers) | 1 year |
3. Cookies we do not use
For clarity, WonderPath does not use:
- Advertising cookies or retargeting pixels.
- Social media tracking cookies (Facebook Pixel, Twitter tags, etc.).
- Cross-site tracking of any kind.
- Fingerprinting technologies.
- Any cookies or tracking technology that profiles children or monitors their behaviour for commercial purposes.
4. How to control cookies
You have full control over cookies on WonderPath:
- Cookie banner. When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept or reject optional analytics cookies. Your choice is remembered.
- Browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.
- Change your mind. Choose "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page. The banner reappears and you can accept or reject again. Rejecting after accepting stops analytics from then on.
5. Children and cookies
In accordance with the ICO Age Appropriate Design Code (the Children's Code):
- We apply the highest privacy settings by default for all users, including children.
- Analytics cookies are only set with parental consent (accepted via the cookie banner on the parent's device).
- No data collected through analytics cookies is linked to a child's identity or profile.
- We do not use cookies to nudge, encourage extended use or create behavioural profiles of children.
- Strictly necessary cookies used during a child's session contain only the minimum data required for authentication and preference storage.
6. Changes to this policy
Where we make a material change to this policy, we shall notify the parent by email and through a banner on the parent dashboard at least fourteen days before the change takes effect. The version number and date at the top of this page reflect the latest version.
