    Accessibility statement

    Last updated: 27 September 2026 · Version 2.1

This statement covers the website at www.wonderpath.co.uk and the WonderPath web app, run by Clove9. We want every child and parent to be able to use WonderPath, including with a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification, or with dyslexia, ADHD or autism. We say plainly below what works, what does not yet, and how to get help.

    1. Standard and status

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. During the public beta WonderPath is partially conformant: most content meets the standard, and the exceptions are listed in section 3. This statement was prepared on 26 September 2026 from a review of the code and the live pages by our own team, not yet by an independent auditor.

    2. What works

    • Reader-friendly mode: a readability font (Lexend), wider letter, word and line spacing, and a choice of background colours, in the practice and lesson screens.
    • Read aloud on lesson text.
    • Reduce motion: a per-child setting, and the device setting, each of which stops animation across the whole of WonderPath.
    • Calm and Focus display modes that reduce decoration and visual noise.
    • Break prompts during learning sessions, at a frequency the parent can set.
    • Keyboard access to the public pages, sign-in, settings, the lesson quiz and the parent conversations sidebar, with a visible focus ring.
    • Headings in order and a skip link on every public page, so screen reader users can move by landmark.
    • Text contrast on the public pages at or above 4.5 to 1 for body text.
    • Quiz choices and main buttons at least 44 pixels tall on phones.

Learning preferences are set per child and are display choices, not treatments. We never claim a font or an overlay cures anything, and we never infer a diagnosis from how a child uses the app.

    3. Known problems

    • The cookie banner is not announced to screen readers when it appears. Being fixed.
    • We have not yet completed a full independent audit against WCAG 2.2 AA, or a test with children who use assistive technology. Both are on the beta list.

    4. Ask for an adjustment or report a problem

If you or your child cannot use part of WonderPath, or need it in another form, email info@wonderpath.co.uk with the subject "Accessibility". Tell us what you were trying to do and what happened. We reply within 2 working days and make reasonable adjustments, as the Equality Act 2010 requires of a service provider.

    5. If you are not happy with our answer

The Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) gives free advice on the Equality Act: equalityadvisoryservice.com. You may also complain to us under the Terms.

    6. How we test

We check contrast, keyboard use, focus, headings and live announcements when we build a screen, and we re-check the public pages before each release. An automated accessibility check in our build and a test with families who use assistive technology are on the beta list; when they are in place we will say so here.

    7. Review

This statement is reviewed at each release and at least every six months. Next review by 26 March 2027.

For learning support settings (dyslexia, ADHD and autism friendly options) see SEND and dyslexia.

A note for parents: We use cookies to understand how families use WonderPath so we can make it better. No personal data about your child is collected. Cookie policy
